The Crown by Kiera Cass

This summer I read The Crown from the selection series by Kiera Cass. The Crown reminds me of a reality tv show but princess style. The crown is about America Singer's daughter, Eadlyn, having her own selection. One thing that I loved about The Crown was how you didn't know who Eadlyn was going to choose until the very end, it was a bunch of guessing. As I was reading, I kept narrowing down who she could choose to be her husband but than at the very end she picks Henri's translator, Erik, which was so unexpected.

Eadlyn is a very indecisive character which I can relate too. I find confusing though that she didn't just tell her father when Marid was blackmailing her because he wanted the crown. It would have been so simple if she did something about it but then their wouldn't be any suspense so I guess I understand. When she finally chose Erik everyone was happy and the kingdom loved her so she really had nothing to worry about. I relate to that because I worry about everything but everything works itself out in the end.
