Political Article Response

Political Article Link

Donald Trump plans to build a border wall on the United States-Mexico border line. Alicia A. Caldwell, associated press, writes in this article that Trump faces many obstacles to building the wall. These obstacles include money, geography, and legal challenges. I chose this source because USN writes a lot about politics with reliable sources and facts. I chose this article because I have been curious to see how Trump plans to build the wall and to actually see if its possible.

I agree with Caldwell that Trump has to overcome many obstacles to even have the right to build the wall. Trump will have to find the money for it because it is very expensive. He says that Mexico is going to pay for it but Mexico says they aren't. I think that the United States will end up paying for it, if it even is built. Trump has to try to buy privet land that the people who own do not want to give up. Since there are so many obstacles Trump has to overcome, I doubt it will even be built in his term in just four years, if built at all.

Learning Reflection

I have learned many things about my learning, reading, and writing process this year. This year has been my hardest school year yet since it is my transition into high school. It is also my hardest year because I have a lot of things on my plate. Time management is the one of the many things I have had to learn this year. I have dance every night and it gets out late so it leaves little time for homework. I have learned to use my tutorials and study halls wisely.

When I read, I like to read in bigger time ranges then smaller ones. When I do it that way, it easier for me to invest in the story. When I write, I like to just write whatever comes to mind then go back and edit. It is easier this way because then I am not thinking to hard and the writing comes more fluidly. For my learning process, I have learned that I need to study and take notes to be able to comprehend the information.

Beauty and the Beast (Free Post)

This past Saturday I saw Beauty and the Beast with my two friends, Hudson and Sara. We were all very excited to see this live action film because it is one of our favorite movies. We also were in the play for Beauty and the Beast in eighth grade, so it holds a special place in our hearts. Hudson, Sara, and I know the soundtrack by heart and always have jam sessions together. We love Disney movies so this was of course on our list of things to do this past weekend.

Emma Watson played Belle and she was perfect for the role. She made the movie more realistic by making Belle an inventor and changing her outfits a little bit. The castle in the movie was one of my favorite parts of the whole movie. I would do anything to live in that castle. I have never seen a movie adapted so well since Harry Potter and I highly suggest everyone to see it if you haven't already.

Analyze a Song

I decided to analyze Umbrella by Rihanna. The first poetry term that I see is Alliteration, "Good Girl Gone Bad". Jay-Z sings "I hydroplane into fame" which is a metaphor. This implies that he can't stop from becoming famous. There is also Euphony when Rihanna sings "when the sun shines, we'll shine together". This shows that when the sun shines it will make their love shine causing a link to happiness.

The purpose of this song is to show that Rihanna will be with her lover through everything. It shows that one should stay with their lover throughout the goods and the bads. The audience is Rihanna's love interest. The tone of this song is compassionate and hopeful by saying how she will be their for everything. The song's speaker is from Rihanna's point of view.
